SASLA TARTAN

The SASLA Tartan is registered in the official
Scottish Register of Tartans.

The Saint Andrew’s Society of Los Angeles was founded in 1930 and is the oldest organization in Southern California devoted to the promotion of Scottish culture.

The SASLA tartan was registered on March 28th, 2017, and was designed by the Society’s 1st Vice President, George A Mitchell III, FSA Scot, who was provided creative input from Blair Urquhart (House of Tartan Scotland) during the development process.

The Colors: The colors in the design are those found in the Society’s emblem, which is recognized by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, at Edinburgh, and represent the Flag of Saint Andrew, four golden images (St. Andrew, Fleur de Lys and the California Grizzly Bear) and motto, “Scotia Semper Patria”.

Restrictions: Yes. For the exclusive use of members of the Saint Andrew’s Society, Los Angeles.
